Develop Skills to Raise Spiritually Healthy Kids
“To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.” — Thich Nhat Hanh
Join us via Zoom on Thursday, May 13th (9pm ET / 6pm PT) to grow your capacity to nurture your child’s natural spirituality and connect with like-minded parents.
About This Event
Between work and other obligations, you likely only have so much energy left over for yourself and your children. Yet raising kids to have a healthy spiritual life is profoundly important. We invite you to take a step back and resource yourself. You’re not meant to do it alone.
In this free, hour-long event, expert facilitator Micheline Green will use her Pause Framework to help you bring presence, attention, unity, sensing, and energy to your work in the home.
- (5 min) Welcome everyone, settle in, and set the ground rules: 1. Confidentiality 2. No unsolicited advice 3. Listen fully and without judgment
- (5 min) Introduce the night’s topic: Self-compassion
- (50 min) Facilitated discussion
- Guiding questions: Is there a difference between the compassion you show to yourself and the compassion you show to others? How do you nurture self-compassion in your home? What struggles do you face here?
Participants will have the chance to introduce themselves, talk about their personal experiences in parenting, and hear the experiences of others — giving space for connection and growth. By participating, you’ll gain awareness of your patterns, compassion for yourself, and support from others on the frontier of spiritual parenting. Ultimately, you’ll walk away better prepared to respond to the ups and downs of life.
This event is brought to you by Uplift, a resource for creating weekly spiritual experiences that instill wonder, resilience, and compassion in children.
To maintain the privacy of participants, this is a live event and will not be recorded.
