THIS WEEK’S LESSON

Regulating Emotions

Today’s Excerpt:

What is the most difficult emotion for you to feel? Why?

Learning how to work with your emotions is no different from learning how to read. It’s a skill that takes time and practice.

Read the situations below and think of what would help these kids work with their feelings.

  • Otto’s homework is really frustrating after working on his homework for over an hour. He’s feeling stuck and exhausted.
  • Ash’s sibling does something to annoy her on purpose, even when she asks them to stop. She’s feeling very upset and angry.
  • Alex learns that his friends were all invited to a birthday party and he wasn’t. He feels left out, lonely, and sad.
