“Wherever I am, I try to focus on what I love because it makes me feel alive and happy.”
— Skye Brown, 11-year-old skateboarder

Today’s Excerpt:

What do you love to do?

To get a sense for what your purpose might be later in life, it can help see what other people love doing as you explore as many things as you can. In the Daily Uplift for the rest of this week, you can explore examples of other people’s passion and purpose.

For example, Sky Brown and her brother Ocean love skateboarding! Sky is the youngest person from Great Britain to compete in the Summer Olympics.

Watch “11 year old Skateboarding sensation Sky Brown!” (6-min video) to meet Sky Brown and her little brother Ocean. Sky says, “Wherever I am, I try to focus on what I love because it makes me feel alive and happy. My motto always is, be brave, be strong, have fun, and do it cause you love it.”

Reflect:

  • What is something that you do and have a lot of fun when you’re doing it?
