Today’s Excerpt:

Sentence stem: “One thing I wish I knew about my ancestors is…”

See how many of the following questions can you answer:

Do you know where your grandparents grew up?

Do you know where your mom and dad went to high school?

Do you know where your parents met?

Do you know about an illness or something really difficult that happened in your family?

Do you know the story of your birth?

If there are any you can’t answer, see if your parents know.

These questions were asked by researchers to a group of kids. The researchers found that the kids who knew the answers to these questions were more likely to be able to overcome challenging situations in life.
