“A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all the other virtues.”
— Cicero, Roman philosopher

Today’s Excerpt:

Notice 5-10 to things in your immediate surroundings that you might have never noticed before. Perhaps details in a painting on a wall, the spine of a book, or a spot on a wall or floor.

Silently think of what you see for two minutes. You can also share your list with others.

When you get used to your surroundings, some things turn invisible to you. You may have been in this place hundreds of times, and yet there are still things you have overlooked. In the same way, you can lose appreciation and even become ungrateful for the things you have — including each other.
