“It is proper for you to doubt.”
— Buddha

Today’s Excerpt:

How do you feel when you get something wrong?

Think of a time when you realized you were wrong about something. Maybe you gave the wrong answer when you were called on in class or maybe you realized something you believed for a long time was not true.

  • What did it feel like to realize you were wrong? Did your face get red or did your stomach get queasy?
  • At first, did you want to continue to believe you were right, even when all the clues were showing that you were wrong?
  • Have you ever wanted something to be true so badly you were willing to overlook clues that there might be another perspective?

Exploring different perspectives can bring us somewhere new we never would have expected.
