“He who seeks his own happiness by inflicting pain on others … cannot be free from enmity.”
— Dhammapada (Buddhism)

Today’s Excerpt:

What is an example you’ve seen of bullying?

Bullying is sustained cruel behavior. It takes many forms, including:

  • Making fun of someone’s physical appearance or physical abilities
  • Mocking someone’s nationality, race, or gender
  • Hitting, kicking, or other types of violence
  • Excluding someone from an activity or group
  • Using digital technology, including social media, to post mean things
  • Spreading rumors, lies, gossip, or mean stories

If you have ever experienced or seen bullying, tell someone or write about the emotions you felt, your response, and how it got resolved (if it ever got resolved).
