Here is an example of someone who quietly and consistently helps out the world: There is an elderly man that lives in the Mission District of San Francisco, and almost every day he walks around the neighborhood picking up trash, peeling stickers from benches and buildings, and cleaning up graffiti. He doesn’t have a title or get recognition for his contribution. He doesn’t lecture or shame others for littering or for not cleaning up trash with him. He chose a cause he cares about that is close to him — his own neighborhood — and quietly changes the world for everyone around him in ways they may never even notice.
